V10 BMW Z3

As the title says, a V10 from an M5 was transplanted into a Z3 Bimmer, the only catch is that apparently it was done by a teenager from Bulgaria!

BMW E28 M5

Firstly, please excuse me if the title is wrong, but I’m assuming this is an E28 M5, someone please correct me if it’s not. This build was submitted by Mikael, and I’m not too sure what the country of origin is, but I know it’s far from here! That’s the beauty of this game, it doesn’t matter where you’re from, we can still communicate through a common interest.

IND E92 M3

We’ve had a few DIY home-built specials lately, so now it’s time to flip the script completely and check out a high-end workshop build. When you’re building an M3 for a customer who already boasts an impressive fleet of cars bearing the names “Enzo”, “Veyron” and “Zonda”, you know that nothing but your best effort with suffice. IND knew this, and went to town on an almost box-fresh E92 until it was deemed fit enough to share floorspace with the existing garage occupants. The build itself is impressive enough, the stuff dreams are made of, but the beautiful photography makes it a joy to view. Thanks to Raiss from JDMST for the link.

Projekte 36

Carbon specialist Andrew emailed me his E36 coupe project not too long ago, an E39 M5 powered show car with race inspired styling. I love the Super-Touring influence of the centre-lock wheels, and the E46 face lift is something I’ve never seen before. There are some tasty parts lined up for this build, hopefully some future updates will show it all coming together.

The Infamous Project

“3 months – 2 Cars – 1 Dream”

Dave from Stance Is Everything sent me an email to let me know about The Infamous Project which is due to take place from January 1st until March 11th, 2010. During this time you will be able to view the customisation of two cars live a LIVE feed in the builder’s garage. This is taking the whole build thread/online journal concept to a new level. The cars in question are a 1992 BMW AC Schnitzer and a 1989 Mustang GT Convertible, so there’s something for the Euro and USDM lovers amongst us.

Could this live concept start a new trend in the online car documentation scene?

BMW M5 Ute

Cereal submitted this build to me, but it’s something I saw years ago while reading Street Machine Magazine when the car was still a concept. It belongs to professional Aussie golfer Stuart Appleby, and it shows what happens when you’re a BMW nut with a whole lot of disposable income. An M5 sedan is given the ute/pickup treatment to fit some golf clubs in the back, with all the body work being fabricated the old school way, in metal.

RB26 E30 BMW

Thanks to Jeroen from Speedhunters for kindly throwing this build my way. Once again, everyone’s favourite car (or should I say, the Internet’s favourite car), the E30 BMW, get’s some major lovin’. This one’s getting it’s new heartbeat from Nissan’s finest, an RB26DETT (with both T’s removed and replaced with one big T). Purists look away.

BMW E46 318i to M3 Conversion

Okay, back to business, new content!

Thanks to Phil from Phils Car Blog for submitting this build. The owner takes his unassuming 4 door E46 318i sedan and stuffs it full of angry M3 goodness. Although it might seem at first that bolt-on items such as bumpers, lights, and panels would be subject to a simple swap-over, it turns out to be quite difficult when small physical differences become apparent. Come and see the owner document the OEM quality transformation from the ground, up.

Rusty Road-Trip

About a week ago I made a post titled Rolling Rust, featuring rolling shots of the patina’d StanceWorks E28 BMW and it’s equally cool trailer, rocking a combined 6 BBS wheels. Little did I know that those pictures belonged to a whole series documenting a road-trip from Tennessee to California. You guys will probably see this on Speedhunters (which is where I found it) but I thought it would be nice to do a follow-up post anyway. Props to Jeroen Willemsen for posting it and bringing it to the masses. For his Speedhunters article click here.
